Saturday was a beautiful day here in Southern Ontario. Hours were spent lounging in the backyard, eating pig ears, sleeping int he sun and watching the birds fly by. And of course, Franklin’s sidekick Maggie was there enjoying the sun as well.
It’s funny.. Maggie has always been around Franklin.. but now she kind of clings to him. I wonder if she senses something that we already know. My heart breaks when I think of that day.. and how lost Maggie will be. But.. until that day comes.. and it does for everyone.. we are enjoying the sunshine.. loving the hugs.. and pigging out on pig ears!!!!
pic 1 – handsome guy!
pic 2 – warm in the sun
pic 3 – sunny naps
pic 4 – Maggie left.. but he still sleeps on.. lol
pic 5 – I think he’s telling me to put the camera away!!! NO MORE PICTURES!!!! lol

I'm Canadian eh? living in Southwestern Ontario. My crew consists of my sweetie Fred, my son (25yrs) and my daughter (22yrs) as well as our 4 legged kids, Maggie (12yrs) and Wilson (1year). Franklin was my sweet boy who was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in September 2012. His leg was amputated on December 4, 2012. He was the cutest tripawd on this planet. He was happy every day. His tail was always wagging. Lung Mets took him from us on May 15, 2013. Rainbow bridge became a happier place with his arrival. We miss him terribly everyday.
We lost our kitty in September 2012. Diesel, who was 18 1/2 years old when he passed at home, was (and still is) the Godfather. He is missed terribly by all. They are curled up together sleeping at the bridge under the stars, happy to be sleeping buddies again.

Let me tell ya Frank and Maggie, you have one of the fines decks in the land for sunbathing! And you both do it so well:-) 🙂
I love the picture showing Maggie with her front paw kind of tucked up underneath her……I think she’s trying to mimic Frank n’ Farter:-) And Frank LOOKS really good and healthy and clearly he’s just living in the moment of worrying about a thing!!
Maggie’s probably staying extra close to make sure she gets pig ears:-) Shout out to the pigs…………oh, that’s right, they can’t hear…tee hee:-) 🙂
Take care of yourself while caring for the pops!! They are soaking in the rays and lapping up the love and all is well in the land of Frank and Maggie:-) 🙂
Holding you in a safe place in our hearts, Sally and Happy Hannah
What a DAY! Franklin how is it that you get all the sun and we are still getting snow here in Colorado? Sheesh!
I like how you are teaching your people to Be More Dog. You are a wise teacher my friend.
