Springer Tigger? Puddles!!

We all have our year of firsts.. the bad AND the good..  yeaaaaaaa for GOOD!!!!!

And we had a first for Mr. Wilson on the weekend!!  We always take the dogs for a walk down along the trail that leads behind our house along the Grand River.. they enjoy this walk as they meet people and other dogs too.  But, every other day, I like to go down to a place called the “Bus barns”  beside the bus barns are trails that go through a bit of a forested area and there is a huge meadow there.  The river also runs behind this area and so does the trail that continues from my house.  It is quite a hike to walk it, but it’s nice to load the dogs up in the car and take them for a run.  Sometimes we see deer there.

This was a first for Wilson.  He got to play in the field OFF LEAD!!!!!  He was a very good boy… and did not stray far!

Now.. in this first one… I call Tigger Springer… I want you to have this song in your heard when you watch this.. you know the tune.. the Tigger song..   you know.. how it goes.. “The wonderful thing about tiggers….”  Now that you have that tune in your head….. fill in these words….

I’m Wilson and I’m a Springer!

and Springers are wonderful things!

Their ears are long and floppy..

Their legs are made out of springs!

They run and jump and spring and bounce

and have such crazy fun!

The most wonderful thing about Springers

is I’m Wilson, and I’m one!!!!

Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii am really one!!

Fitting.. don’t you think?  lol!

And I may as well show you just one more…. This one is cute.. he ran back and forth, back and forth and right through the puddles!!!  this boy had a ball… and I am so proud!   Now.. not sure what would happen if a bunny crossed our path.. but we shall deal with that when it happens!

I'm Canadian eh? living in Southwestern Ontario. My crew consists of my sweetie Fred, my son (25yrs) and my daughter (22yrs) as well as our 4 legged kids, Maggie (12yrs) and Wilson (1year). Franklin was my sweet boy who was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in September 2012. His leg was amputated on December 4, 2012. He was the cutest tripawd on this planet. He was happy every day. His tail was always wagging. Lung Mets took him from us on May 15, 2013. Rainbow bridge became a happier place with his arrival. We miss him terribly everyday. We lost our kitty in September 2012. Diesel, who was 18 1/2 years old when he passed at home, was (and still is) the Godfather. He is missed terribly by all. They are curled up together sleeping at the bridge under the stars, happy to be sleeping buddies again.

  1. Sniff! The site says the videos are down for maintenance right now. We will look later.

We have a special spot in our hearts for Springers because our old Golden, Gus, was raised by one. She lived next door to Gus’ mom, and had lost a couple of pups from her litter. In the middle of the night, she went next door and stole a puppy to take home. Imagine the owner’s surprise in the morning to find a little brown pup in the mix. They let Gus stay there until he was weaned, but he always stuck with the spotted pups, even when they all played together with the rest of the Goldens.

  2. WHAT FUUUUUUUNNNNNN!! “makes me want to go out and jump in mud puddles like we did when we were kids!! Mr. Wilson is having an absolute ball!!

Can you imagine how thrilled Wilson was experiencing his first mud puddle marath ! The joy he sows on that video is just delightful!

I love how Maggie seems to be keeping a watchful eye on him and making sure ne doesn’t run too far! He kows he’s part of a very special pak, he’s not fonna run too far.

Isn’t it amazing how much having a dog like Maggie helps train him? He just watches what she does and follows her lead. She stayed close to mom so he new he needed to too! Of course, they all have Frank n’ Farter watching over them and teaching them voth his little pearls o’f wisdom!

FUN, FUN, FUN video! Thanks for sharing!

Oh! And as far as the song…the lyrics are BRILLIANT!! Very clever and appropriate! Now, as far as the original song..not sure I remember that…..remember, all my “kids are four–legged…or three legged…and my sogs consist of various tones of howling and barking!! But ever since I said, “fun, fun, fun”….I can’t get the Beach Boys song out o my head!!

Fun, fun, un til your daddy takes your t-bird away….

    Love and ugs!

    Sallh and Happy Hannah
