Wilson’s Whimsical Wet Week

With sadness.. there are smiles….  and there has been alot of sadness on the Tripawd planet lately.  It comes with the territory unfortuantely.   There have also been many smiles too in successful operations, awesome ampuversaries and new adoptions, new family members and I love hearing of pawrnets opening their hearts again.  and of course, life is never boring when you have Wilson by your side.  You know when you walk in a room.. something is up.. when you see a springer butt in the air…   Lost ball Wilson?  hmmmmmmm??

I thought I would share some pictures of a week with Wilson….    I was hoping with all the time that Wilson spends in the water… that he would “shrink”!!!

After all. that is what happens to our favourite clothes!!!

kids, dogs and water….   what a great combination!!

This has got to be one of my favourite pictures below…   he really is a handsome looking boy.. and really has a sense of  “magestic” about him..

wils

he is all muscle… and has turned into one of the biggest snugglers around!!!

How could you not love this mug when you are snuggled in bed?

Although.. I will admit there are times when he pushes things to the limite…. and tends to hog most of the bed…..

Alas.. to this day.. he still has not figured out the dog bed… but he has come up with a good idea.. .

Dog beds make great pillows!!

Got to love him…..   We had our grandchildren for the weekend.. and they were also loving up Maggie.  Ms. Maggie loves attention and we have been giving her lots as her legs are starting to give her some major issues at times.   I know that day is coming… and I fear it.   The boys just love Maggie because she is not a 60 lb wigglebutt.. lol

I'm Canadian eh? living in Southwestern Ontario. My crew consists of my sweetie Fred, my son (25yrs) and my daughter (22yrs) as well as our 4 legged kids, Maggie (12yrs) and Wilson (1year). Franklin was my sweet boy who was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in September 2012. His leg was amputated on December 4, 2012. He was the cutest tripawd on this planet. He was happy every day. His tail was always wagging. Lung Mets took him from us on May 15, 2013. Rainbow bridge became a happier place with his arrival. We miss him terribly everyday. We lost our kitty in September 2012. Diesel, who was 18 1/2 years old when he passed at home, was (and still is) the Godfather. He is missed terribly by all. They are curled up together sleeping at the bridge under the stars, happy to be sleeping buddies again.

  1. Chris,
Thank you so much for filling me in on Mr Wilson & Maggie. He sure has grown. I know what you mean about shrinking them back lol. I love all these pictures. It brought tears to my eyes when you said what you did about Ms Maggie. I know we don’t like to think of that stuff. You sure have some cute grand kids & cute babies. They love both of those furbabies.

I have a bed hog too Snickers loves to hog the bed. I don’t mind though it reminds me of Sassy. She always slept touching me.

    Hugs

  2. What great photos and a super update on Mr Wilson. And to top it all off, the banner at the top when I clicked on the story was none other than the one of Franklin himself!

  4. My Dear Christine…….Yo sre know how to post pictires and commentary to make us all smile. Of course when you jave such great “subjects” as Maggie and Mr. Wilson AND adorable grandkids!! GREAT, GREAT PICTURES!!

How does he stay so clean walking up on shore after swimming? Maggie looks a little more disheveled!

And that close up of Wilson’s smoochable mug…OMD! What a cutie! And doing a roach in bed? You mastered that Mr Wilson!

It’s so funny to see all the photos of him NOT sleeping on his dog beds! Usually he uses them as a pillow for his butt instead of his head.

Maggie is clearly enjoying being in the moment with all her human pack and that’s all good!

Thank you so much Christine for this fun blog. You are so important to tis community on so many different levels.

    LOVE!

Oh, did Mr. Wilson get his ball! That first pic is precious! Talk about dog being dog!
