I can’t believe it!!!!

When we were younger, time seemed to move sooooo slooooowly.  It took forever waiting for Christmas to get here…. remember that?   Yet.. Summer vacation seemed to fly right by!!!

on the 15 of November.. it was 18 months since I last petted my sweet boys head… kissed his brow.. and told him how much I loved him…

EIGHTEEN MONTHS!!!

and I can still cry at the drop of a hat, or when I type a post like this…..

Miss you buddy… love you always…  ♥♥♥

I'm Canadian eh? living in Southwestern Ontario. My crew consists of my sweetie Fred, my son (25yrs) and my daughter (22yrs) as well as our 4 legged kids, Maggie (12yrs) and Wilson (1year). Franklin was my sweet boy who was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in September 2012. His leg was amputated on December 4, 2012. He was the cutest tripawd on this planet. He was happy every day. His tail was always wagging. Lung Mets took him from us on May 15, 2013. Rainbow bridge became a happier place with his arrival. We miss him terribly everyday. We lost our kitty in September 2012. Diesel, who was 18 1/2 years old when he passed at home, was (and still is) the Godfather. He is missed terribly by all. They are curled up together sleeping at the bridge under the stars, happy to be sleeping buddies again.

  1. 18 months?? No Way. It honestly seems like yesterday when you told us that he was going to the Bridge. As you know each & everyone of these anniversary dates are tough. Crying at a drop of a hat I do it too. I did it reading this post. I am thinking of you and Franklin today.

We miss you Franklin. We know you are having a big party up there.

  2. Yep…crying too darn it!!! And that “drop of a hat” thing…yep…me too….darn it!

Your presence here keeps him so alive though, so timeless. Franklin will NEVER be forgotten here…EVER!!!!

I love this picture Christine. He looks so wise, so at peace with life…just “being”.

Sending you extra love and extra hugs…..always.

Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle too!

  3. No WAY. I definitely hear ya on how strange it is that time speeds up when we’re older. What’s up with that?

Nothing wrong with putting out a few tears on days like this. We love hard, we grieve hard. The important thing is to honor their memory by living in their pawsteps, one beautiful day at a time. You’re doing a great job with your awesome sense of humor and lighthearted approach to life. Keep it up!
