Good Night sweet boy….

Good night my sweet boy… I hope you are snoozing curled up with Diesel under a beautiful clear midnight black sky, full of stars shining down on you while you breathe easily and snore on a comfy bed, big enough for any of your friends you have made at the Bridge to curl up with you if they want to.  You deserve it.

Almost 5 months have passed since you left us and we are coming up to a few first anniversaries..  amputation day, coming home day, Christmas, New Years and many more to follow…

I miss you… I see you every day in my computer screen pictures… I walk past you every day on the dresser in the bedroom.  Sometimes I jingle your collar with my eyes closed and I smile cause I can make it sound like you are just coming around the corner from the kitchen…

I will always love you Mr. Magoo…   You were very special to me and taught me many things.  I’m so blessed to have you in my heart. ♥ xo

I'm Canadian eh? living in Southwestern Ontario. My crew consists of my sweetie Fred, my son (25yrs) and my daughter (22yrs) as well as our 4 legged kids, Maggie (12yrs) and Wilson (1year). Franklin was my sweet boy who was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in September 2012. His leg was amputated on December 4, 2012. He was the cutest tripawd on this planet. He was happy every day. His tail was always wagging. Lung Mets took him from us on May 15, 2013. Rainbow bridge became a happier place with his arrival. We miss him terribly everyday. We lost our kitty in September 2012. Diesel, who was 18 1/2 years old when he passed at home, was (and still is) the Godfather. He is missed terribly by all. They are curled up together sleeping at the bridge under the stars, happy to be sleeping buddies again.

  1. Ohhhh, that’s a beautiful picture too. I don’t remember seeing this before. Really shows such gentlesness and sweetness.

I like that you jingle his collar and visualize him coming aroind the corner…..I know you feel his presence when you do.

It’s almost unbelievable to me that it’s been five months. It still seems so fresh to me, so I know it feels a million timesmore like it was yesterday.

I am soooooo glad you are staying here with us and contining Franklin’s legacy through your “good deeds” here. It’s yet another way for his life to co tinue to make a difference.

Ya’ know, one thing that always amazed me with Frank n’ Farter is that he never shows his “age”! His face looks just a puppy like in some of his “later” pictures, as it does in his younger pics!

Yeah, there are a lot of “firsts” coming up, but there are a lot of wonderful memories of an extraordinary dog to fill your heart with happiness and his love.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts AND the lovely photo of a very content and serene Frank n’ Farter.

Hugs and love…lots of it…to you and the pack!

    Sally and Happy Hannah
