Hoppy Ampuversary Frankie boy……

it’s December 3rd.. the night before your one year ampuversary.. Dec 4th. One year ago tonight we were curled up on the couch.. you had had a spa day. and got all handsome for your surgery… I took pictures of you .. and posted them here on the blog…  you were such a handsome boy.. so silky smooth like velvet. I would pet you and hug you for hours after a spa day… I could feel every little bump under your spots.. the ridge of your brow that I used to kiss between your eyes…   your muzzle was like silk without your whiskers…  and you knew you were a handsome boy cause you just loved it up….  you “Vogue’d” well!!

I really wish I could have said this nose to muzzle… and I wish you could have been here with me to celebrate… but you are you know.  I’m sitting here.. and I have opened my heart.. and I feel you buddy..   I can feel you… and yes.. the memories are falling out of my eyes and rolling down my cheeks…

This picture was the morning of your surgery.. December 4th, 2012.  Fred took you for a little walk before heading to the vets… We were so worried that we were doing the wrong thing.  But you proved us wrong… you flew through that surgery with flying colors… and you  enjoyed every minute afterwards.  You rocked dude…  you were our three legged farting machine..  and we loved you.

I'm Canadian eh? living in Southwestern Ontario. My crew consists of my sweetie Fred, my son (25yrs) and my daughter (22yrs) as well as our 4 legged kids, Maggie (12yrs) and Wilson (1year). Franklin was my sweet boy who was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in September 2012. His leg was amputated on December 4, 2012. He was the cutest tripawd on this planet. He was happy every day. His tail was always wagging. Lung Mets took him from us on May 15, 2013. Rainbow bridge became a happier place with his arrival. We miss him terribly everyday. We lost our kitty in September 2012. Diesel, who was 18 1/2 years old when he passed at home, was (and still is) the Godfather. He is missed terribly by all. They are curled up together sleeping at the bridge under the stars, happy to be sleeping buddies again.

  3. These ictures are so beautiful for so many different reasons.

The “walk” with the way the light was softy glowing down their path, a stunningpicture that says so much. And to this day, Frankln’s light is still shining on all of us. And what a privilege…a true hoor…to have shared time together with him…and t con tiue to do so!

And the first one…he looks so calm, so at peace. He really seems to just KNOW that all is well. Even though his humans are probably freaking out!!

He just pain along trusted you without question. He always just KNEW he was in good ha ds and there were no worries as long as his humans were around.

I still MARVEL everytime I recall he ws FOURTEEN and STILL got an additio al five and half months of living like a healthy puppy!! Three years in dog years!! And he enjoyed EVERY second…even if he did have to wear sweaters!!

Christk e, te way you are able to stay connected to Franklin, to feel his presence, to get into his “energy field” that is still surrou dngyou and to be aware of his presence…that’s a sign of a very advanced soul- Voth you and Frankie are very advanced souls and this journey was just meant ro be…the two of you side by side.

You ow that wo derful picture of Franklin n’ Farter and Maggie by the Christmas tree? Did you use that as a Christmas card? I hope you’ll post it here again …..it was just so beautiful.

Christie, I am so Grateful, as is everyone is on the site, that you…and Franklin…and co tiuing to be such an important “spoke in the wheel” that makes the tripawd community what it is. It would NOT be the same without you…it would be missing a lot of joy, a lotof laughter, a lot of love, a lot of compassion…and yeah, someti es a lot of tears over the beautiful things you post!

    Thank you for being you.

And Mr Magoo thank you! HAPPY ONE YEAR AMPUVERSARY FRANKLIN!! And YES, we will conti ue to celebrate your eternal light!
