I can’t help but smile…..

because the last two days I have gone onto the Tripawds site..  this is the first banner I have seen…….even before I have logged in….  both times!!!

Capture

two days in a row.. how coincidental is that?  I Just can’t wait for the calendars to come out.. I’m going to get a bunch for my kids and friends too!!

6 1/2 months have passed.. and yup, the pain is still there.   Yes.. it is not as sharp as it was… but it is enough that if my sweetie and I are at home and we are talking about Franklin, both of us could burst into tears at any time…  geesh!!  lol  I think it’s because we are coming up to the anniversary date of his amputation… December 4th.  Once this year of “firsts” have passed, I think all will be well.. and we know he will never, EVER forgotten!!

In the mean time… look who turned 6 months old on October 23rd!!

MR WILSON!!!!!    47 pounds…  geesh!!

(ok.. it’s a program that I can put stickers onto the picture.. he is NOT actually holding a cigar in his mouth!!  he’s too young to smoke!!)

too funny.. I was having some fun time with my iPhone…

Anyhow… he is now bigger than Maggie….  which is not good for Maggie!!  The other night he jumped on her and knocked her to the ground and she yelped!!  We have now started to limit play with Maggie cause she is an older lady.  WE know he is just a puppy and wants to play, but he needs to learn some manners…

Meanwhile.. they are still sleeping buddies…

And on a good note..   Mr. Wilson’s mohawk is getting biger..   almost ready for some gel!!!  I am going to book him for a day at the doggie spa next month.. just to get him trimmed up a bit..  but I think we should leave the mohawk for now… lol

I'm Canadian eh? living in Southwestern Ontario. My crew consists of my sweetie Fred, my son (25yrs) and my daughter (22yrs) as well as our 4 legged kids, Maggie (12yrs) and Wilson (1year). Franklin was my sweet boy who was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in September 2012. His leg was amputated on December 4, 2012. He was the cutest tripawd on this planet. He was happy every day. His tail was always wagging. Lung Mets took him from us on May 15, 2013. Rainbow bridge became a happier place with his arrival. We miss him terribly everyday. We lost our kitty in September 2012. Diesel, who was 18 1/2 years old when he passed at home, was (and still is) the Godfather. He is missed terribly by all. They are curled up together sleeping at the bridge under the stars, happy to be sleeping buddies again.

It is NO coincidence…one….zero….nadda’….that Frnak n’ farter’s banner has popped up like that! I REALLY, REALLY believe it’s just his wayof sending messages toyou! Honest! I believe that without question!!

Yeah’ Mr. Wilson, you take it easy on Sweet Maggie, okay? You can’t rough house with girls like you can boys! Hmmmmmmm…….wonder if Franklin has another plan for a boy uppy…………hmmmmm………?

Hey Christine…one technical question…..how do you “take a picture” of a screen? Sometimes if I could show Jerry what my screen looks like when she’s trying to help me, that may be beneficial…..especially with thisyou tube and tablet stuff.

Thaks for the smiles, the hapoy and tears and the tears with a touch of bittersweet mixed in!

  2. Christine this is the sweetest! I am loving these photos! Mr Franklin looks awesome holding a cigar, and those glasses! Very distinguishing. :))

I got on Tripawds last night for the first time in over a week and Nesta’s banner appeared during the first few minutes! It takes me by surprise every time I see it! That familiar loving face looking right at me….ugh, lump in my throat. But I am with Sally, I believe it’s definitely Franklin and NEsta intentionally sending us their love. They are still here with us, and they send us those photos when we need to be reminded.

  3. Yep! Defi itely! And Nesta just co firmed it too!

Christine! Do NOT cut his mowhawk!! You have GOT to leave it!

Need to enter that picture in the dog contest!! Come on! It’s sooooo cute!

  4. I love love Mr Wilson’s mohawk. You better leave it alone. LOL. I love it when I see their banners. I always open another tab when Sassy’s comes up. Some nights I have like 5 tabs open LOL.

I totally understand the tears etc. Time makes it not hurt as much but its still there.

  5. Thanks for sharing Wilson’s growing up with us. I can’t believe how big he’s gotten. He’s going to be a handsome boy!

Don’t you just love those banners. I, too, smile everytime I see Shooter’s.

    Take care-

  7. So awesome! The year of Firsts. I understand. Franklin was awesome, pawsome and we miss him. Mr Wilson, though, certainly provides space for new memories and love! Great update…cigars and all!
